According to multiple sources, a large fire broke out in Terminal Car Park 2 at London Luton Airport on October 10, 2023. The fire caused a significant structural collapse and affected half of the multi-storey structure, involving numerous cars. As a result, all flights at the airport were suspended, and people were asked not to travel there. The fire was attended by 15 fire engines, and four firefighters and a member of airport staff were taken to the hospital. One other patient was discharged at the scene. Emergency services responded to the fire, and a critical incident was stood down, but the ambulance service remained on the scene to support fire and rescue colleagues. Additional staff were on hand to provide assistance to passengers, and they were advised to contact their airline for flight information.
