At the end of John Wick 3, there is a stunning betrayal and a cliffhanger. John agrees to kill Winston in order to have the $14 million bounty on his head canceled. However, by the films climax, Wick refuses to carry out the hit. Winston then shoots John off the roof of The Continental, leading to Wick falling to the street below and suffering serious injuries. The Adjudicator assumes that John is dead, but he is later revealed to have survived and found refuge in the Bowery Kings new hideout. The ending sets up the storyline for John Wick 4, which will undoubtedly provide more character depth. Winstons alliances between the High Table and John seem like they will continue as a point of contention for him in John Wick: Chapter 4.
