Today at Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in London, a fire broke out in the multi-storey car park, causing the evacuation of the entire shopping centre as a precaution. Around 12 vehicles caught fire on the upper level of the car park, producing a significant amount of smoke that filled parts of the centre. The London Fire Brigade responded with 10 fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters and managed to bring the blaze under control by 5:54 PM. No injuries were reported, though two people were treated at the scene and discharged. The car park remains closed while the cause of the fire is under investigation, but the shopping centre itself is open as usual today. Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area during the incident.
