In 2019, Disney acquired many of Foxs assets, including 20th Century Fox film studio, for $71 billion. In January 2020, Disney rebranded the 85-year-old film company 20th Century Fox as 20th Century Studios, dropping the "Fox" name. Later that year, in August, Disney announced that it would be rebranding one of its TV studios, 20th Century Fox Television, as 20th Television, as part of a larger rebrand for all of Disneys TV studios. The move was made to avoid confusion between the Disney-owned parts of the former company and the "New Fox," which includes Fox Sports, Fox Business, and Fox News, as well as ownership of the broadcast Fox TV channel. The well-known logo and title card of 20th Television, which has the words "20th Television" stacked above spotlights, will stay the same minus the excluded words. Older titles, which have already aired before the rebrand, will maintain the former logo and name.
