Ruby Franke, the mother of the popular family vlogger channel 8 Passengers, was arrested on August 30, 2023, on suspicion of aggravated child abuse, which led to two of her kids being sent to the hospital. Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, were both arrested on the same charges. The Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department received a report about a juvenile in need of help on August 30, 2023, and found a malnourished minor with open wounds and duct tape on their extremities. The condition of the juvenile was so severe that they were seen by medical professionals.
