Abigail Stanton is a character in the TV show "When Calls the Heart" played by Lori Loughlin in Seasons 1 through 6. Abigail Stanton is one of the first widows introduced on the show. She moved to Hope Valley several years before her husband Noah and son Peter died in a mine explosion. She had a brief relationship with town official Billy Murray in Season 2 and Paster Frank Hogan in Seasons 3 and 4. Abigail Stanton left Hope Valley to take care of a sick family member in Season 6 of the show. Lori Loughlin was fired from the show in the wake of her indictment in the college cheating scandal. Lori Loughlin is not returning to "When Calls the Heart". However, Lori Loughlin will reprise her role as Abigail on "When Hope Calls," set to return for season 2 on a new network, GAC Family.
