There are different versions of what happened to Alex in the Final Destination franchise. In the original ending of the first movie, Alex dies in an explosion after saving Clear, but not before Clear becomes pregnant with his child. However, in Final Destination 2, Clear reveals to Route 23 pile-up survivor Kimberly Corman that Alex died by being bludgeoned on the head by a dislodged brick from a nearby building. This was not the original idea for his death, as another version of the script had Alex being killed by a ceiling fan, and a third version had him being killed by a flesh-eating virus. In an unused ending for Final Destination, only Clear survives an incident at her home while Alex dies in a car that ignites, and Clear later delivers their son, Alex Browning II. However, this ending was not chosen, and Alexs death was not shown on-screen in any of the movies.
