Arrayah Barrett, the 2-year-old daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett, died in a drowning accident in the familys pool on April 30, 2023. Police were called to the Barrett home, but they were unable to save her. Shaquil Barrett has dedicated his entire 2023-2024 NFL season to his daughter and has honored her with a tattoo on his right forearm. He has also spoken publicly about the daily battle he faces since her death and how much he misses her. Shaquil and his wife Jordanna have three other children, Aaliyah, Braylon, and Shaquil Jr., and they are expecting another child in early 2024.
