Barry George is an English criminal who was convicted of the murder of English television presenter Jill Dando in July 2001. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, but his conviction was overturned on appeal in 2007. After being released from prison, he received a "chilling threat" while living in Hackney, in East London. George now lives in Cork, Ireland with his sister. Despite his acquittal and release from prison, George has not received any compensation.
