Bobby Jindal is an American politician who served as the 55th governor of Louisiana from 2008 to 2016. He was also a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and Chairman of the Republican Governors Association. Jindals meteoric rise in the GOP ended with a failed presidential bid in 2015. After his failed presidential campaign, Jindal has largely avoided Louisianas political scene and has appeared sporadically on national news programs to discuss federal issues. He has also worked in the private sector, serving on the board of Hornbeck Offshore Services, a supplier of offshore transport services, and investing in the health care industry. In 2022, Jindal argued that reforms to health care and education are issues that both sides of the political fence can agree on.
