Brooks & Dunn is a country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, both of whom are vocalists and songwriters. They formed in 1990 through the suggestion of songwriter and record producer Tim DuBois. Before their formation, both members were solo recording artists, having charted two solo singles apiece in the 1980s. Brooks & Dunn took the country music scene by storm in 1991 when the first four singles off their debut album, Brand New Man, raced to the pinnacle of the country music charts. They have made an indelible mark and enduring legacy in the country music industry, collecting dozens of music-industry honors and earning heaps of Top Ten hits.
On August 10, 2009, Brooks & Dunn announced that they would be splitting up after a tour titled The Last Rodeo. The duo released its final compilation, #1s… and Then Some, on September 8 of the same year. Brooks and Dunn performed their last concert together at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on September 2, 2010, with proceeds from the concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame.
However, in 2015, the duo reunited for a Las Vegas residency with Reba McEntire called Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas, which has been so successful that it has been extended through 2019. Brooks & Dunn surprised fans with their announcement of a big-time return to the road in 2022. The iconic duo kicked off their Reboot 2022 Tour on May 5 in Evansville, Indiana, and wound its way throughout the country with some of the best opening acts.
