Bruce Perreault was a contestant on Survivor season 44 who was removed from the competition early due to a head injury. During the first challenge, he dove head-first into a beam, gashing his head open. He was able to continue playing after receiving medical attention, but later that night, he started experiencing major pain and headaches and was pulled from the game on a stretcher. However, his Survivor story could still have a happy ending, as Jeff Probst announced that Bruce has been officially invited to come back and compete on a future season of the show. Bruce was the first person since the all-winners installment of season 40 to be officially invited back. The exact season for his return is not yet known, but it is an open invitation.
