According to multiple sources, Chelsea Gray, a star guard for the Las Vegas Aces, suffered an injury during Game 3 of the 2023 WNBA Finals against the New York Liberty. Gray left the game midway through the fourth quarter with what coach Becky Hammon said was probably a foot injury. She was unable to walk on her left leg after the injury. As of October 16, 2023, it is unclear whether Gray will be able to play in Game 4 of the Finals.
