In the AMC series "Interview with the Vampire," Claudia is a young vampire who was turned by Lestat after being rescued by Louis from a house fire). During this time, she is assaulted by the only other vampire she meets, and this and her love for Louis are the impetus behind her returning to New Orleans. It is looking like Season 2 will cover Claudia and Louiss time together in Europe, and more specifically with the coven of vampires led by Armand. It is not clear yet if the series will follow the books storyline where Claudia is executed by the coven of vampires for breaking the rules of vampire society.
