Melbourne Demons midfielder Clayton Oliver was admitted to Footscray Hospital on October 12, 2023, after suffering a "medical episode". He underwent a CT scan and X-ray while in the hospital. However, he was discharged later that day after being treated. The exact nature of the medical episode has not been disclosed.
