According to the search results, Elizabeth Shaw was killed by David sometime after the events of Prometheus. In Alien: Covenant, Shaws dissected body is seen on a table, being experimented on by David. David claims that she died in the crash, but this is not true. Ridley Scott, the director of the Alien franchise, had originally planned to explore where Shaw goes next and what she does when she gets there, but ultimately decided to eliminate her character and the Engineers from the narrative entirely.
