Elliott Neese, also known as Captain Elliot, was a former captain on the reality TV show "Deadliest Catch". He was known for his argumentative nature and propensity for feuding, which brought plenty of drama to the series for five seasons. However, he abruptly left the show in Season 11, which left some viewers feeling confused. It was later revealed that he had addiction problems and had entered a rehab facility to get the help he needed. After leaving the show, Neese had to deal with more struggles in the real world, including legal drama. In 2019, he sold drugs to a confidential informant and in 2022, he was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Neeses legal and personal issues are nothing new. In early 2012, the mother of his child sought a restraining order against him over alleged text and phone harassment and substance use. Despite his struggles, Neese has returned to the sea and is working hard.
