Imran Khan, Pakistans former Prime Minister, has been arrested after being handed a three-year prison sentence in a corruption case. He was accused of illegally selling state gifts worth hundreds of millions of rupees, including an antique watch given to him by the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and was found guilty of "hiding the benefits he accrued from the national exchequer wilfully and intentionally" from selling the gifts. This is his second arrest this year after he was detained last May by Pakistan’s anti-corruption agency in connection with another case. Khan denies all wrongdoing and says he will appeal the verdict.
