According to various sources, including a novel and a brief interlude in a book, Jar Jar Binks was banished from the Gungan city and ended up back on Naboo after the events of Episode III. He was a street performer in the planets capital city, making a meager living as a silly clown. Most adults hated him, but he managed to make small children laugh. He lived the rest of his days knowing the implications of what he had done, as he played a large part in the suffering. In the book "Aftermath: Empires End," Jar Jar says to an orphan boy named Mapo that he made mistakes in the past that cant be forgiven. The author implies that everyone, including Jar Jar himself, blamed him for the galaxy tumbling into darkness. In the Star Wars canon, he never appeared again on screen after Episode III.
