Jeremy Lin is a former NBA player who gained fame during his time with the New York Knicks in 2012, a period known as "Linsanity". After 25 games as the teams starting point guard, he suffered a torn meniscus and missed the rest of the season. Lin played for several other NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors. Injuries plagued him throughout his career, and he underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee in 2012. Lin left the NBA in 2019 and signed with the Beijing Ducks, where he became an All-Star in the Chinese Basketball Association. He attempted to return to the NBA and played with the Warriors development team in 2021. In May 2023, Lin suffered a head injury during a game in Taiwan after being elbowed in the face and hitting his head on the court. He was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, and his basketball future is uncertain.
