Kellie Picklers husband, songwriter and producer Kyle Jacobs, died by suicide on February 17, 2023, at their Nashville home. He was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in an upstairs bedroom/office. Toxicology results revealed that Jacobs did not have any drugs in his system at the time of his death, while his autopsy showed that he had a history of "pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use". Kellie Pickler has since broken her silence and expressed gratitude to her family, friends, and fans for their support during this difficult time. She also announced that she is planning an intimate memorial for her husband, which will happen later this fall, as that is what Kyle would have wanted.
