Kyler Murray, the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, suffered a torn ACL/meniscus in Week 14 of the 2022 season during a game against the New England Patriots. He underwent surgery to repair the injury in January 2023. As of October 28, 2023, Murray is still recovering from the injury and is on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. He is not expected to come off the PUP list when eligible following Week 4 and is "still considered weeks away from playing". The exact timetable for his return is unclear. Despite his injury, Murray was named one of the team captains for the Cardinals.
