Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, suffered a cardiac arrest during a basketball practice with the University of Southern California (USC) on July 24, 2023. He was initially treated at the teams facility and then taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was discharged from the hospital a few days later and was resting at home. Comprehensive evaluations by doctors found that the probable cause of his cardiac arrest was a congenital heart defect, which can and will be treated. Bronny James has started his rehab process to get back on the floor this season with his teammates at USC after successful surgery. LeBron James, his father, has been providing positive health updates about his son and is dedicating his 21st season in the league to his oldest son after the health scare.
