Lia Marie Johnson is a former YouTube star who rose to fame at age 14 for appearing in the Fine Brothers "Kids React" YouTube series. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to pursue her dreams, but got immediately into the party scene, "drinking, using drugs, and partying almost every night". She struggled with drug addiction, multiple suicide attempts, and abusive relationships. At one point, a person she loved tried to strangle her. She had her first suicide attempt at the age of 18 and moved back to San Diego to attend therapy. She later moved back to Los Angeles and fell back into her old ways. She was involved in a car accident at the age of 20 that should have changed the way she was living, but she still didnt get the message. She ended up in hospitals multiple times due to her mental health and drug-induced psychosis. After a stint in rehab at the age of 21, she moved to the beach but sadly relapsed and ended up in an abusive relationship. She didnt press charges and instead stayed with her boyfriend because she was scared. She received a call that Capitol Records was dropping her during this time. She then met a different man, with whom she was heavily using drugs, causing her to end up in psychosis again. One day, she woke up to police pounding on her door and found out that her boyfriend had committed suicide. After his death, Lia was in multiple rehabs, but kept getting kicked out due to her behavior. She tried almost every single drug and lost everything she had.
