In the season 10 finale of When Calls the Heart, Lucas ended the season with a cliffhanger causing major concerns for his safety. Bill found Elizabeth and Nathan and told them that something happened with Lucas, but the episode ended before Bill could tell them what happened to Lucas that made him so worried. However, the main theory is that Lucas is in danger somehow after he ran against the corrupt Bixby Balfour in the election for governor and won, which led either Bernhardt Montague or a henchman to confront Lucas at the campaign office. Despite the cliffhanger, showrunner and executive producer Lindsay Sturman has confirmed that Lucas is not dead and will be back for season 11. However, there are still a few mysteries packed in there, and it will all be revealed next season.
