Brandon McMillan was the host of the CBS show "Lucky Dog" for seven seasons until he left to pursue other opportunities. In October 2020, he announced his departure from the show on Instagram, citing differences in goals between himself and the shows creators. He explained that he always made it a point to wear his heart on his sleeve and not hold back his emotions, and that being as real as he possibly could was the most important thing for him because the viewers know acting from reality. He also hinted that his leaving "Lucky Dog" wouldnt mean the end of his efforts in helping unruly canines. The show has continued without him, and the eighth season premiered in January 2021 with two new hosts, Eric Wiese and Rashi Khanna Wiese. Brandon McMillan continues to train shelter dogs and place them with families, and he is also the author of the book "Lucky Dog Lessons: Train Your Dog in 7 Days". He has a Masterclass on dog training and has joined Links leadership team to help them create the Link Smart Pet Wearable.
