Barry Seal was a drug smuggler-turned-DEA informant whose life was dramatized in the movie "American Made." In the movie, Barrys wife is renamed Lucy Seal and is played by Sarah Wright. After Barry is shot dead, supposedly by the drug cartel that he betrayed, the movie ends with Lucy working as a waitress to support herself and her children. However, in reality, Barrys third wife was named Deborah Dubois Seal, and she fell upon hard times after Barrys death due to government seizures of his property and estate. Deborah and Barry had three children together, and their marriage ended with his death. It is unclear whether Deborah actually worked in the food service industry after Barrys death, as her character does in the movie.
