Michonne is a character from The Walking Dead, portrayed by Danai Gurira. Her story differs between the series and the comics, but she is known for her iconic katana and badassery. In season ten, Michonnes last appearance in the show was in the thirteenth episode, "What We Become". In this episode, Michonne accompanies Virgil to Bloodsworth Island to acquire a stash of weapons for continuing the war with the Whisperers. On reaching their destination, Virgil reveals to Michonne about his family’s death and how all the members were reanimated as walkers. He went on to ask her to put their bodies down to rest to which she obliged. That night Michonne becomes impatient to find the weapons on her own. While investigating, she enters a room but to her shock finds herself trapped inside only to realize that it was a trap. She regains her sanity and convinces fellow prisoners on the island to spare Virgil’s life. As she digs deeper into the island’s resources, Michonne finds new proof of Rick’s life. After a radio call with their daughter Judith, Michonne decides to go off on a quest to find her long lost love. The episode ends with Michonne saving two strangers in the wild, potentially joining a new community of survivors as a result. In the summer of 2022, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Rick and Michonne would return to TWDU in a spinoff series. In November 2022, The Walking Dead series aired its last episode of the series. When fans thought the episode was over, a coda scene revealed Rick and then Michonne.
