After the events of Doctor Strange, Mordo had not been seen or mentioned in the MCU until Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where Chiwetel Ejiofor played a variant of Baron Mordo. The original version of Mordo was omitted from the movie, and the rivalry between Strange and Mordo was shown in the Illuminati chamber. However, the fate of Earth-616s Mordo has not been revealed. In a deleted scene from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Mordo was killed by the Scarlet Witch, who beheaded him and presented his head to Strange when they first met. However, this scene was cut, so it is possible that Mordo could return to rekindle his animosity with Stephen Strange. It is speculated that Mordo will likely return in the MCUs future.
