Morgan Jones is a character in The Walking Dead TV series who has come and gone repeatedly but has always been important. He saved Rick Grimes in the pilot episode and was the first living person Rick came across when he woke up from his coma. Morgan became a productive member of Alexandria until the end of season 8, and after the Saviors war, he headed to Jadis Heaps and remained there until season 9. Morgan suffered a mental breakdown after the death of his son, who was the only family member he had, and he saw his sons death as his fault because of his inability to kill the reanimated version of his wife. Morgan left Ricks group at the end of season 8 and reappeared as a member of the main cast in Fear the Walking Dead.
