PopJam was a social media platform created by SuperAwesome that provided a safe space for kids to interact with each other. However, on March 8th, 2023, PopJam was shut down by SuperAwesome. According to SuperAwesome, they decided to sunset PopJam after a period of reflection on how they could most meaningfully impact the digital landscape and create safer online experiences for kids. They will re-prioritize the PopJam team’s efforts to other parts of the business, such as projects like Game With Me (previously known as JAM) and other SuperAwesome and Epic products. PopJammers were able to download their art creations in-app until March 7th, 2023, and through customer services until May 7th, 2023. The PopJam team stated that they were exploring new parts of the online universe to keep safe and that PopJam had closed for that reason.
