President Russell M. Nelson fell and injured the muscles in his lower back three weeks ago, just two days after he turned 99 on September 9th, 2023. Due to his injury, he will not be attending the LDS General Conference in person, but will instead watch it remotely through technology. He hopes to record his general conference message and participate in the conference through technology. President Nelsons healing is progressing, but his doctor has prescribed a slow and careful approach to healing, as there is not much data on how 99-year-olds recover from an injury like his.
