In February 2021, the "Reply All" podcast was put on hiatus and canceled two episodes of a series that explored allegations of structural racism and problematic work culture at the food magazine Bon Appetit. The hiatus was because former Gimlet Media employees alleged that two people behind the “Reply All” podcast had acted similarly to what they were investigating at Bon Appetit. The scandal at "Reply All" is just the latest addition to an increasingly long line of companies within the media industry that have been wrestling with accusations of fostering toxic workplaces. In May 2022, it was announced that co-hosts Alex Goldman and Emmanuel Dzotsi would be leaving the show, and the current iteration of "Reply All" would end on June 23, 2022). The decision to end this iteration of the show came from a desire of the host team to move on, and it is not clear whether this definitively spells the end of "Reply All" as a podcast.
