RocketJump was a YouTube channel run by Freddie Wong that was known for its comedy shorts and VFX videos. In 2013, Wongs channel, freddiew, was renamed to "RocketJump," and freddiew2 was renamed to "BrandonJLa". The channel stopped making comedy shorts when it dedicated all of its time to making Video Game High School (VGHS) . After VGHS ended, the RocketJump crew continued to make VFX videos, and they were known for back in 2010 and 2011 with more actors in a big cameo featuring Lindsay Sterling playing Link from The Legend of Zelda with Video Game High School becoming a success. They created another Kickstarter campaign for season 2, and the series would last for nine episodes with each episode lasting between 10 to 22 minutes. In 2017, Wong announced that RocketJump would be pivoting away from regular shorts in favor of other projects. RocketJump stopped uploading videos altogether in 2018, after the second season of Anime Crimes Division. Wong and his co-hosts continued to podcast and announced in 2021 that they were ending the podcast to allow them more time to work on upcoming projects. On October 21, 2021, RocketJump revealed on Facebook that they were beginning work on their first feature film. As of March 2022, RocketJump is still active on Twitter. Brandon Laatsch, who left the group years ago, is pursuing his own projects.
