Rory Gilmore is a fictional character from the WB/CW television series Gilmore Girls. She first appeared in the pilot episode of the series on October 5, 2000, and appeared in every episode until the series finale on May 15, 2007. In the original series finale, Rory has just graduated from Yale and turned down Logans marriage proposal. Instead, she begins planning a carefree summer getaway with Lorelai and starts sending out résumés, trying to land a job in journalism. In the 2016 revival of Gilmore Girls, A Year in the Life, Rory is in her thirties and has become a successful freelance journalist, but was fired from a job to ghostwrite a book, and gave up her apartment to stay in different places like New York, London, and Stars Hollow. She has been dating a man named Paul for two years, but does not seem to be invested in their relationship. After breaking up with Paul, she also engages in casual sex, including with a nameless man in a Wookie costume. While jetting back and forth between America and London, Rory ... . The revival ends with a shocking twist: Rory reveals shes pregnant, which was always planned by the creator.
