Sean Kingston is a Jamaican-American singer and rapper who gained popularity in the mid to late 2000s with hits like "Beautiful Girls," "Eenie Meenie," and "Take You There". In May 2011, he was involved in a near-fatal jet skiing accident in Miami, Florida, which resulted in his near-death. He and an unnamed female friend crashed into a bridge while out jet-skiing, and Kingston was knocked unconscious. He nearly drowned but was rescued by an off-duty coast guard officer and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. After 11 days, it was discovered that he had a torn aorta and had to be rushed into open-heart surgery. According to Kingston, he was in unbearable pain for weeks afterward and was told he might not survive. False rumors have circulated recently, falsely claiming Sean Kingstons demise, but he is alive and well. In recent years, Kingston has continued to release new music and has hinted at the possible release of his fourth album, Deliverance.
