Sokka, a beloved character from Avatar: The Last Airbender, passed away sometime between 158 and 170 AG, before the events of The Legend of Korra. The exact cause of his death is unknown, but it is believed to be natural, as he would have been between 74-86 years old. Although Sokka did not appear as much as his friends in The Legend of Korra, his story continued after defeating the Fire Nation. After the war, Sokka played a role in the Harmony Restoration Movement, aimed at ridding the Earth Kingdom of forced Fire Nation settlements. He also helped Zuko look for his mother Ursa and supported Aang in facing off against the ancient spirit Old Iron. Outside of his official duties, Sokka helped to save a young Avatar Korra from a kidnapping attempt by the Red Lotus and left stories, drawings, and advice for Aang and Kataras son Tenzin.
