Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris suffered a neck injury during the second quarter of the game against the New York Giants on Sunday, October 15, 2023. He was hit by Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke after taking a handoff, and he appeared immobile for several minutes. The Bills trainers and medical staff rushed from the sideline to attend to Harris before he was taken off the field by ambulance. Harris was attended to by medical staff and given additional testing at a hospital. The Bills later reported that Harris had movement in his arms and legs. Bills coach Sean McDermott said on NBC’s Sunday Night Football telecast after halftime that Harris had full movement and was heading in a good direction. Harris gave a thumbs-up sign with his left hand as he was loaded into the ambulance. The game eventually resumed, and the Bills won 14-9.
