According to recent news articles, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is facing financial challenges due to lawsuits and sustained bad publicity. Attorneys representing Lindell and MyPillow in defamation suits filed by voting machine companies say hes fallen behind on his bills and owes them millions of dollars. Lindell himself has stated that his company has been decimated and that he has lost everything, including hundreds of millions of dollars. He has blamed Dominion, Smartmatic, and the news media, including conservative outlets Fox News and Newsmax, for his financial troubles. Lindell has also been ordered to pay $5 million to an expert who debunked his data related to the 2020 election. Additionally, he is facing an FBI investigation into alleged election security breaches in Colorado, as well as two defamation lawsuits from Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic for claiming the companies’ voting machines were used to commit fraud. In July 2023, MyPillow auctioned off more than 700 pieces of company equipment, ranging from forklifts to office desks and cubicles, after losing $100 million in revenue due to big retailers halting sales of the companys products. Lindell has blamed this on "cancel culture".
