According to multiple sources, including, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, suffered a leg injury during a game against the Minnesota Vikings on October 8, 2023. The injury occurred on the last drive of the first half when Kelce slipped on the turf after catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes. His right leg appeared to give way, and he fell to the ground. Kelce was evaluated by the trainers and was seen limping off the field. The CBS broadcast reported that Kelce underwent X-rays on his right foot, and he is believed to be dealing with a high-ankle sprain, according to Jordan Schultz of The Score. Kelce was announced as questionable to return to the game as he gets his foot evaluated. However, Kelce jogged back to the Chiefs’ sideline after halftime with his right ankle heavily wrapped. He had his helmet on but did not play on Kansas City’s first third-quarter drive. Instead, Kelce was jogging and stretching on the sideline and even (playfully) tried to sneak back onto the field and join the Chiefs’ offensive personnel. Kelce eventually returned to game action when K.C. began its second third-quarter drive.
