Uta is a character in the One Piece Film: Red, which was released in August 2022. She is introduced as the most popular singer in the One Piece world and is eventually revealed to be Luffys childhood friend and Shanks daughter. The ending of the film is somewhat ambiguous, and there has been much speculation among fans about Utas fate. Some fans believe that Uta died due to poisoning from eating a poisonous mushroom called Wake-shroom. Others believe that she may still be alive or in a coma. However, according to an interview with the screenwriter of the film, Uta did die at the end of the movie.
