Yaki Kadafi was an American rapper and a founder and member of the hip hop groups Outlawz, previously known as Dramacydal. He was born on October 9, 1977, in the Bronx, New York City, to Sekou Odinga and Yaasmyn Fula. His parents were both members of the Black Panther Party, and Kadafi and Tupac Shakur were friends until their respective deaths in 1996.

On September 7, 1996, Kadafi was in the car behind Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight the night Tupac was shot in Las Vegas. Kadafi had been riding in the car and briefly worked with the police as a witness. Kadafi vowed to reveal the entire truth surrounding Tupacs death, most importantly the man who fatally shot the rapper. Kadafi said that he had seen exactly who it was. However, Kadafi was shot and killed about two months later on October 9, 1996, in Orange, New Jersey, aged only 19 years old.

According to, Kadafi was visiting his girlfriend in an East Orange, New Jersey housing project when he was shot and killed. He was shot between the eyes at point-blank range in a dispute over money. Kadafi was found slumped in a stairwell of the housing project at 3:30 am with a bullet wound to his head. He was found with his cousin, who was believed to have accidentally killed him.
