If you accidentally call emergency SOS on your iPhone, the phone will automatically call the local emergency number and share your location information with emergency services. After the call ends, your iPhone will alert your emergency contacts with a text message, unless you choose to cancel this option. If you cancel the call before the countdown ends, emergency services will not be notified. However, your iPhone will still send a notification to your emergency contacts that you initiated an emergency SOS. If you accidentally call emergency SOS, you can cancel the call by sliding the Emergency SOS slider. To prevent accidentally activating the Emergency SOS feature, you can toggle off a few settings on your iPhone.
