The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is a 2010 American romantic fantasy vampire film directed by David Slade, based on Stephenie Meyers 2007 novel Eclipse. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. The plot revolves around Bellas dilemma of choosing between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob Black, while a war is raging somewhere and a vengeful adversary amasses an invincible army of immortals, hell-bent on revenge.
The film opens with a teenage boy, Riley, being chased through the streets of Seattle by an unseen supernatural attacker. The attacker hurls Riley to the ground and bites him on the hand. Meanwhile, Edward reveals to Bella that his family thinks bloodthirsty newborn vampires have committed a killing spree in Seattle. Jacob becomes a sore point for Edward and Bella, and Bella demands to see Jacob, but Edward sabotages her attempts to run off to see him. When Bella notices that some of her clothes are missing, Edward confirms that an unknown vampire has been snooping around her house. Jacob arrives to pick up the unknown scent for the werewolves to track. Edward tells Bella that the killing spree in Seattle has worsened, leading the Cullens to believe that someone is building an army of vicious newborn vampires. The Cullens decide to stop the newborn vampires in Seattle before the Volturi, a powerful group of Italian vampires, do so, because their visit might lead them to check if Bella is still human.
The rest of the film follows the Cullens and werewolves as they form an alliance against the newborn vampire army. They meet in a clearing where Jasper teaches them to fight. Bella asks Jasper how she can help with the battle, and he says that her scent alone would drive the newborns crazy. The Cullens and werewolves fight the newborns, and Bella is forced to choose between her true love for Edward or her friendship with Jacob Black as the struggles between vampires and werewolves continue.
