Asia is primarily located in the Northern and Eastern Hemispheres. The Earth is divided into four hemispheres: Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western. Geographically, the Northern Hemisphere contains the entire mainland of Asia, while the Southern Hemisphere contains some Asian islands like the southern portion of Maritime Southeast Asia, including East Timor and most of Indonesia, the British Indian Ocean Territory, and two out of 26 atolls of Maldives in the Indian Ocean. Therefore, Asia is not located in the Southern Hemisphere. Asia is also located mainly in the Eastern Hemisphere and in the Northern Hemisphere.
