LeBron James attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio for the entirety of his high school life. He played basketball for the Fighting Irish and was nicknamed "The Chosen One" by Sports Illustrated in his junior year. James was awarded Ohios Mr. Basketball three times and was chosen for the USA Today All-USA First Team three times as well. He led his team to three Ohio state championships in his four years on the team. James was so popular that his team had to move their practices from the school gym to the nearby James A. Rhodes Arena at the University of Akron. Some of his high school games were even televised nationally on ESPN2 and regionally on pay-per-view.
