Beyoncé attended two high schools in Houston, Texas, after her parents divorced while she was in school. She first attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she focused on improving her music and performance skills, and later attended and graduated from Alief Elsik High School. She also attended St. Marys Montessori School in Houston, where she was enrolled in dance classes, and Parker Elementary School, a music magnet school in Houston, where she performed with the schools choir. Beyoncé did not attend college.
