LeBron James attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio for the entirety of his high school life. He played basketball for the school and was heavily touted by the national media as a future NBA superstar for his all-around scoring, passing, athleticism, and playmaking abilities. LeBron was awarded Ohios Mr. Basketball three times and was chosen for the USA Today All-USA First Team three times as well. He also became the first junior to earn the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award for boys basketball.
