According to recent estimates, the world population in 2023 is 8 billion people. Therefore, 1% of the worlds population in 2023 would be around 80 million people. This number may seem small compared to the total population, but it represents a significant portion of humanity. To put this into perspective, 80 million people is about twice the population of Japan and just under two-thirds of the entire population of Germany. Even this tiny fraction can significantly impact global affairs and economic development. For instance, when considering budgets or policies related to education or healthcare, one percent of the worlds population still includes millions of individuals who could be affected by those decisions.
