The term "Second Nakba" refers to the displacement of Palestinians in and after the 1967 occupation. The Nakba, which means catastrophe, refers to the war that took place between 1947-1949 and resulted in the uprooting of more than 80% of the Palestinian population that had inhabited the area on which Israel was built for centuries.
